Transforming African Agriculture
Daka Ntembe Consortium (DNC) is a for-profit agribusiness and development company building the future of African agriculture from the ground up. We are driven by a single belief that Africa’s farmers deserve prosperity, dignity, and ownership in the value chains they sustain.

Founded by Mweemba Ntembe and Regina Daka, DNC is pioneering a new model that blends commerce and community impact. Our mission is to transform rural Zambia into a global agricultural hub through innovation, cooperative ownership, and sustainable large-scale farming.

Our work began in Mbakalungu Village, Petauke District, where we launched our first crop-based financing program. By directly investing in smallholder farmers, buying their maize harvests, and reselling to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA), we created a self-sustaining cycle that helps families access cash for seeds, food, and daily essentials when they need it most.
Our Vision
To make Zambia the breadbasket of Africa, powered by technology, data, and empowered local communities. We aim to create a continent-wide cooperative model that gives every farmer a voice and a stake in the future they help grow.
Our Model
DNC operates as a purpose driven business that combines commercial success with genuine community impact. Every investment we make helps strengthen a model where social progress and financial growth move together. Our commitment is to operate transparently, sustainably, and always with deep respect for the people and communities we serve.
Looking Ahead
From our roots in the Eastern Province, we are scaling toward a national cooperative system that connects thousands of farmers, processors, and exporters across Zambia and, eventually, across Africa. Together with investors, governments, and diaspora partners, we are building a legacy that will feed generations and redefine African agriculture.
